Sandblasting Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Join Safran Landing Systems’ Mirabel plant as a Sandblasting Operator on the night shift. You will be responsible for preparing landing‑gear components for machining or plating by removing oxide layers and ensuring optimal surface adhesion.

Key responsibilities

• Move parts using lifting devices and install them on mounting fixtures.
• Apply masks or tools according to technical drawings.
• Operate robot‑equipped sandblasting equipment following technical procedures.
• Complete sandblasting with specialized manual equipment while respecting set parameters.
• Inspect finished parts for compliance with specifications.
• Complete required quality‑assurance documentation.
• Perform daily self‑maintenance of equipment and conduct sand particle‑size analysis.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality and cost.

Required profile

• High‑school diploma (equivalence certificate not accepted).
• Experience in manual work within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
• Physical strength to handle tools and equipment.
• Capability to work in a full‑body encapsulated suit with helmet and oxygen supply.

• Hourly wage from $26.91 to $36.59 CAD, up to $40.62 CAD with skill progression.
