About the role

As a Sales Manager at COBS Bread, you will lead a small bakery team, delivering an exceptional in‑store experience and sharing a passion for freshness with loyal customers. This role blends customer service, team leadership, and hands‑on bakery involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate a small sales team, ensuring high performance and a positive workplace culture.
• Provide outstanding customer service, building relationships with regular patrons.
• Oversee product merchandising and execute local marketing campaigns.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness and assist with production tasks, including basic baking.
• Foster teamwork, respect, and high standards among staff.
• Develop team members through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Participate in community events and the ‘End of Day Giving’ bread donation program.

Required profile

• Proven customer service excellence.
• Bright, energetic personality that contributes to a vibrant workplace.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in food service or hospitality.
• Basic financial management knowledge, including cash handling and banking.
• Experience in recruitment, staff development, retention, and disciplinary procedures.
