Sales Attendant (Sessional)

About the role

The Sales Attendant (Sessional) works under the direction of the Food Services Manager to deliver exceptional customer service across UBC Okanagan’s food service locations, including restaurants, residences, and retail outlets. The role involves serving customers, handling payments, and preparing food and beverages.

Key responsibilities

• Serve customers in various food service settings.
• Take payments accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare food and beverages according to menu specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Food Services Manager.

Required profile

• Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
• At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to complete specialized training for specific outlets (e.g., Tim Hortons, Subway, Starbucks).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Food Safe Level 1 certification.
