Rock Tools Technician

About the role

The Rock Tools Technician role is an entry‑level position supporting Sandvik Mining’s rock‑tools contracts. You will work on a fly‑in‑fly‑out schedule, providing customers with the right tools, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient tool usage.

Key responsibilities

• Manage rock‑tools inventory, track new issues, discards and losses.
• Repair and maintain rock tools to defined specifications.
• Deliver rock‑tools products to customers and perform daily/weekly stock counts.
• Utilise the Rock Tools Management System to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Troubleshoot tool issues and provide technical recommendations to supervisors and sales representatives.
• Report improper usage, complete time, technical and failure reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies, perform risk assessments, and attend safety trainings.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school (high school).
• Interest in mining or construction equipment; prior exposure to Sandvik products is a plus.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team and build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Detail‑oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible, self‑motivated and willing to develop new skills.
