Revenue Services Supervisor

About the role

The City of Whitehorse is seeking a Supervisor for Revenue Services to lead its property taxation, utility billing and accounts receivable functions. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Services, this senior position provides strategic direction, ensures legislative compliance and drives continuous improvement across revenue operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight for property tax, utility billing and accounts receivable processes.
• Maintain financial integrity and ensure compliance with municipal revenue legislation and PSAB standards.
• Lead a dedicated team, handling complex issues, escalations and providing expert advice on revenue matters.
• Analyse financial data to support the City’s long‑term fiscal sustainability.
• Identify and implement improvements to revenue policies, systems and processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role within a municipal or public‑sector environment.
• CPA designation considered an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of property assessment, taxation and utility billing.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with enterprise financial systems.
• Familiarity with integrated revenue platforms.
