Retail Salesperson

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Salesperson to join our Chester Basin Petro‑Canada location. The role involves assisting customers, handling sales transactions and supporting store operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process sales transactions, including online e‑commerce orders.
• Maintain inventory records using computerized systems and assist with re‑ordering.
• Provide product advice, greet customers and discuss their needs.
• Assist in the display of merchandise and ensure attractive presentation.
• Estimate prices, credit terms, warranties and delivery dates for customers.
• Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease.
• Conduct sales transactions through internet‑based electronic commerce.
• Support store opening and closing procedures.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail or sales experience.
• Outgoing, dependable and efficient interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime.
• Physical ability to work in a demanding, repetitive environment.
• Organized, reliable team player with strong oral communication.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing store needs.
• Efficiency in handling repetitive tasks.
