About the role
Robinson's Food is looking for a Retail Butcher to join its store in Norquay, SK. The position involves preparing, cutting and selling a wide range of meat, poultry and fish products directly to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Clean meats and prepare them for processing or cutting.
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers and standard cuts for sale.
- Wrap, package and weigh meats for retail display.
- Cut poultry into parts, clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
- Grind meats, make special sausages and slice cooked meats.
- Price meat products, create special displays and sell meats to customers.
Required profile
- No formal education required.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a butcher or meat‑cutting role.
- Participation in a youth employment program with on‑the‑job training and mentorship.
Required skills
- Meat cutting and trimming.
- Poultry cutting.
- Fish and shellfish preparation.
- Meat grinding and sausage making.
- Creating retail displays of meat products.
