Retail Bakery Supervisor

About the role

The Retail Bakery Supervisor will lead the daily operations of our bake shop, ensuring high‑quality breads and rolls are produced and presented to customers. You will manage a small team, coordinate production schedules, and maintain inventory while delivering excellent service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Order and requisition materials, equipment, and supplies needed for production.
• Prepare mixed doughs and batters, bake breads and rolls, and fulfill special orders.
• Develop and oversee production schedules to meet demand and tight deadlines.
• Supervise and train 3‑4 baking personnel and kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, and equipment use.
• Inspect kitchen and service areas, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with quality standards.
• Organise and maintain inventory, operate bakery machinery, and manage merchandising of baked goods.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a bakery or similar food‑service environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Dependable, accurate, and a team‑player with good written communication.

• Operation of bakery equipment and machinery.
• Inventory management for food supplies.
• Scheduling and supervising small teams.
