Retail Bakery Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Bakery Manager to lead daily operations at our COBS Bread location in Shawnessy, Calgary. The role combines staff supervision, inventory control and customer service in a fast‑paced bakery environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate and organise daily bakery operations, ensuring product quality and service standards.
• Manage a team of 5‑10 staff members, assign duties, conduct performance reviews and handle recruitment.
• Analyse market trends and consumer demand to determine product mix and merchandising.
• Plan budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and control inventory procurement.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints and supply shortages promptly.

Required profile

• College or CEGEP certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year).
• 1‑6 months experience in a restaurant or bakery setting.
• Experience supervising 5‑10 employees.
• Familiarity with desserts, pastries, breads and rolls.
