Restaurant Manager

About the role

Oku Izakaya Bar is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations in a vibrant Vancouver location. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of quality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and organize daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage shift schedules.
• Determine service offerings and implement operational procedures.
• Balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
• Maintain inventory levels and negotiate with suppliers for food and other supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Address customer complaints and provide high‑quality customer service.
• Participate in marketing plan development and implementation.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
• Availability for shift or on‑call work, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and days.
• Ability to start on the date listed in the posting.
