Restaurant Counter Attendant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Counter Attendant to join our rural restaurant team. You will be responsible for ensuring a clean, organized dining environment and providing friendly service to our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Carry and replace linen, clean and sanitize work surfaces, carts, and waste‑disposal units.
• Operate dishwashers, hand‑wash items, and scour pots and pans.
• Load buspans, replenish condiments, and stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• Prepare, portion, wrap, and heat simple food items; wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
• Take customer orders at counters or buffet tables and serve food.
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies; manage kitchen garbage and maintain a clean kitchen.
• Sweep, mop, polish floors and keep the dining area tidy.

Required profile

• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in food service or a similar role.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a rural location with limited public transportation.
