Restaurant Counter Attendant – Full‑time

About the role

The Restaurant Counter Attendant will provide friendly service to guests while maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. This full‑time position supports both the front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations in a fast‑paced restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs after each use.
• Operate dishwashers and hand‑wash dishes, glassware, and flatware; store them properly.
• Package take‑out orders, portion and wrap foods, and prepare simple menu items.
• Take customer orders at the counter or buffet and serve food promptly.
• Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other service stations.
• Use manual and electric appliances to peel, slice, trim, and cut vegetables, fruits, and other foodstuffs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, sanitize work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
• Receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage areas.
• Handle cleaning products safely and manage waste removal.
• Sweep, mop, and polish floors regularly.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, pressure‑filled environment.
• Reliable, team‑oriented, with efficient interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Safe Food Handling certificate.
• Experience operating a conventional oven.
• Experience with a deep fryer.
• Proficiency using an electronic cash register.
• Experience operating a grill.
