About the role
The Restaurant Assistant Manager supports daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and financial performance. Reporting to the restaurant manager, you will help maintain high standards of customer service, staff productivity, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and monitor daily operations, including revenue and labour costs.
- Plan, organise, and direct daily restaurant activities.
- Supervise, train, and conduct performance reviews for a team of 5‑10 staff members.
- Maintain inventory, balance cash, and prepare cash reports and balance sheets.
- Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Negotiate with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- Address customer complaints and provide excellent service.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of relevant experience in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.
- Accurate, dependable, and client‑focused with strong oral communication.
- Flexible, organised, reliable, and a team player.
