Restaurant Assistant Manager

About the role

Wayback Burgers is looking for a proactive Restaurant Assistant Manager to support daily operations in its Winnipeg location. You will work closely with the restaurant manager to ensure smooth service, high customer satisfaction, and efficient staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve daily restaurant operations.
• Monitor, train, and supervise a team of 16‑20 staff members.
• Recruit new employees and set work schedules.
• Implement operational procedures and service standards.
• Handle cash, balance sheets, and complete cash reports.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate catering contracts and support marketing initiatives.
• Address customer complaints and provide excellent service.
