Residential Site Superintendent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Residential Site Superintendent to lead multiple home‑building projects in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Reporting to the Construction Manager – Field Operations, you will coordinate daily construction activities, manage procurement logistics and resolve on‑site issues to ensure timely delivery of quality homes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise projects from stake‑out through final possession, coordinating trades, suppliers and inspections.
• Maintain and update project schedules, communicating delays or conflicts to the Construction Manager.
• Schedule city inspections in line with permit timelines and municipal requirements.
• Conduct regular site walk‑throughs, identify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions.
• Order, track and manage materials, flagging procurement challenges before they affect the schedule.
• Monitor project budgets, reporting cost changes and ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Provide possession timelines and updates to the Sales Team.
• Maintain organized site documentation and input data into internal software.
• Address on‑site conflicts with trades, clients and stakeholders promptly and professionally.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with Alberta OHS regulations and company safety policies.
• Train and mentor construction staff as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of residential site supervision experience.
• Strong understanding of residential construction practices and processes.
• Experience with multi‑family projects is an asset.
• Ability to manage multiple sites at different stages simultaneously.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using internal construction management software.
