Researcher - Computer Network for AI

About the role

Explore, develop and deploy state-of-the-art networking technologies and protocols for Huawei's global AI infrastructure, cloud and data‑center networks, delivering innovations and performance to enhance product competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Research, design and implement advanced networking technologies and protocols for AI, cloud and data‑center environments.
• Identify new opportunities aligned with company strategies and industry trends, and translate business challenges into a cohesive technical roadmap.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with academic and industry professionals to ensure delivery of value.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of academic or professional experience in research, engineering or technical innovation.
• Demonstrated expertise in AI infrastructure, high‑performance computing or data‑center networking technologies.
• Experience with networking, data‑network architectures, software architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven influence on networking technologies in academia or industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Knowledge of RDMA and network protocol stack optimization.
• Experience with collective communication scheduling, traffic engineering/routing, congestion control, topology design and resource allocation.
• Understanding of AI infrastructure and high‑performance computing networking.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and software architecture.
