Research Manager – VECTOR Study

About the role

The Division of Cardiology at UBC is seeking a Research Manager to lead the VECTOR Study, a newly funded initiative exploring genetic influences on cardiac structure and function. Reporting to Dr. Teresa Tsang, you will coordinate multidisciplinary research activities that integrate health data, artificial intelligence, and precision health approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day project operations for the VECTOR Study, including timelines, data‑access processes, and stakeholder communications.
• Manage data collection, storage, and analysis pipelines for health and genomic datasets.
• Support the preparation of grant applications and the launch of new research initiatives.
• Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and knowledge‑translation materials for internal and external audiences.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, privacy, and regulatory requirements throughout the study lifecycle.

Required profile

• University degree in a health‑related field (e.g., biomedical sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics).
• Demonstrated experience managing research projects in a clinical or academic setting.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular research, precision medicine, and genomics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
