About the role
The Research Manager (Neurology) will lead the start‑up and execution of clinical trials within the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of British Columbia’s Division of Neurology. Reporting to the Research Director, the role provides strategic vision for research activities and oversees staff handling ethics and regulatory processes.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate and manage start‑up of clinical trials for neurological disorders in children and young adults.
- Oversee ethics and regulatory compliance for all research activities within the Division.
- Manage study maintenance, budgeting, personnel resources and timelines for each protocol.
- Ensure all research is conducted ethically and in accordance with UBC and professional regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of study information.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in clinical research management, preferably in neurology.
- Ability to contribute strategic vision to research programs.
- Accountability for protocol execution alongside the Research Director.
- Strong understanding of ethical and regulatory standards governing university‑based research.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple studies within allocated budgets and timelines.
