Research Engineer, Neural Rendering

About the role

Waabi is a leader in Physical AI, building autonomous trucks and robotaxis. As a Research Engineer in Neural Rendering you will create next‑generation multi‑sensor rendering systems for autonomous driving, collaborating with world‑renowned scientists and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team building a best‑in‑class multi‑sensor simulation stack.
• Apply cutting‑edge reconstruction, neural rendering and generative AI techniques to build large‑scale digital twins from real‑world camera, LiDAR and RADAR data.
• Develop simulation software that combines real‑time rendering with NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, diffusion models, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with autonomy and safety teams to enhance the realism and diversity of Waabi World.

Required profile

• Experience shipping production‑quality software and handling large datasets for machine‑learning applications.
• Deep understanding of modern machine‑learning or neural‑rendering systems, including their limitations and trade‑offs.
• Proven ability to design, launch, and debug GPU‑accelerated ML jobs in the cloud.
• Strong software‑engineering fundamentals with a focus on efficient, maintainable code.
