Research Coordinator – Clinical Research Support Unit

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Research Coordinator to join the Clinical Research Support Unit (CRSU) at the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. The role focuses on cutting‑edge projects that use pre‑clinical models and patient samples to advance personalized therapies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement research protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate day‑to‑day research activities across multiple investigators.
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
• Support principal investigators and collaborate with other research staff.
• Ensure compliance with background‑check requirements and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Strong motivation and ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Willingness to follow direction from the CRSU Senior Research Manager and be accountable to the principal investigator.
• Ability to work in a shared office setting.

Required skills

• Experience with pre‑clinical model handling.
• Handling of patient samples for research purposes.
• Research protocol development.
• Implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
