About the role
The British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) is seeking a Research Assistant to support qualitative research on the overdose crisis led by Drs. Thomas Kerr and Ryan McNeil. The role focuses on analyzing qualitative data and, when needed, conducting interviews and ensuring data accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Code and analyze qualitative study data using NVivo under guidance of the Principal Investigators.
- Maintain study documentation and databases.
- Recruit research participants and conduct qualitative interviews.
- Process automated transcriptions, verify accuracy, and ensure confidentiality.
- Conduct literature reviews and assist in preparing presentations and manuscripts.
- Perform other general research duties as required.
Required profile
- Interest and experience in qualitative research methods.
- Ability to conduct interviews and manage participant recruitment.
- Attention to detail for data accuracy and quality control.
- Effective collaboration with principal investigators, research manager, staff, and students.
Required skills
- NVivo qualitative data analysis software.
