Research Assistant – Live Graphic Recording

About the role

McGill University seeks a part‑time Research Assistant to create live graphic recordings for the flagship course BUSA 303: The Entrepreneurial Mindset. You will translate lectures, guest talks, and class discussions into real‑time visual notes that serve as learning artifacts for students.

Key responsibilities

• Attend all 14 scheduled sessions (Fridays, 11:35 am–2:25 pm) and produce live visual notes.
• Collaborate with the course instructor before each class to identify key themes and concepts.
• Deliver a polished visual summary for each session to be shared with students after class.
• Contribute visual material to the broader course design and experiential learning environment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability in live illustration, graphic recording, or sketchnoting, with a portfolio of real‑time work.
• Comfortable working quickly in front of a live audience and synthesising spoken content into visuals.
• Strong sense of visual hierarchy and storytelling.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full 14‑session schedule (~39 hours total).
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $20 CAD.
