Research Assistant – Cardiac Electrophysiology (Sanatani Lab)

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Assistant to support the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Program within the Sanatani Laboratory. The role focuses on improving outcomes for pediatric patients with arrhythmias through data‑driven research.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical and translational research projects.
• Liaise with existing and new participating sites, including possible site visits.
• Perform data validation and analysis across multiple large databases.
• Utilise REDCap and statistical methods for data management.
• Write research reports, prepare manuscripts, and assist with grant applications.
• Conduct literature searches, compile annotated bibliographies, and prepare presentations, posters, and quarterly reports.
• Provide general support to the Cardiac Electrophysiology Program as needed.

Required profile

• University‑level education in a health‑related or scientific discipline.
• Experience with clinical research coordination and data handling.
• Ability to work under the guidance of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency with REDCap database software.
• Strong statistical analysis skills.
• Data validation and data analysis expertise.
