Research Assistant 2 – Part‑time

About the role

The Jewish General Hospital, in partnership with McGill University, is seeking a Research Assistant 2 to support a funded research project on women’s reproductive and mental health. This part‑time, fixed‑term position offers the opportunity to work closely with a principal investigator and a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and administer questionnaires, recruit and train interviewers, and conduct qualitative interviews.
• Manage data collection, test administration (EPDS), and compile research documentation.
• Analyze and interpret data, prepare research reports, conference presentations, and journal articles.
• Oversee budget tracking, communications with collaborators, and ethics board requests.
• Coordinate SSHRC grant reporting and organize lab meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (sociology preferred) or equivalent research experience.
• Strong written and spoken French (level 4) and English (level 2).
• Excellent organizational, logistical, and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with feminist and critical literature on social determinants of women’s health.
