Research Assistant 2

About the role

We are seeking a Research Assistant 2 to join a multidisciplinary team at the Jewish General Hospital. The role involves conducting health‑science research projects under established protocols, with minimal supervision, and contributing to the generation of high‑quality evidence in epidemiology and public health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research projects using established methods and oversee data collection.
• Develop and execute research protocols, questionnaires, and recruitment strategies.
• Analyze and interpret data, prepare research reports, and disseminate findings.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications and methodological papers.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior research staff.
• Perform administrative tasks related to project management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Research experience in health sciences, including data management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Programming skills in statistical software such as SPSS or R.

What we offer

• Hourly compensation of $39.18 CAD.
• Full‑time schedule (35 hours per week) for a fixed‑term contract (12 months).
