Research and Project Coordinator

About the role

The Research and Project Coordinator will lead day‑to‑day coordination of the Slocan research development project at UBC’s Vancouver campus. Working closely with the Co‑Principal Investigators, the coordinator will embed research activities within clinical care for children with health complexity, engaging investigators, clinicians, families and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project work plans, timelines and deliverable trackers, coordinating contributions from research, clinical and community partners.
• Lead rapid reviews of published and grey literature, synthesize evidence, and integrate findings into project planning.
• Design and facilitate focus groups and qualitative interviews, manage data collection, transcription and secure storage.
• Conduct thematic analysis, document analytical decisions and produce written and visual summaries.
• Coordinate Research Ethics Board (REB) applications, amendments and approvals, ensuring compliance with institutional policies.
• Draft consent forms, procedures and knowledge‑mobilisation materials, applying Indigenous OCAP principles where relevant.
• Prepare mid‑term and final funder reports, and support the preparation of manuscripts, abstracts and grant applications.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
