Research and Program Assistant – Continuing Professional Development

About the role

The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Research and Program Assistant to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of custom educational programs for health professionals. This temporary position will contribute to applied research that informs continuous improvement of continuing professional development (CPD) initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and synthesize findings relevant to medical education.
• Develop, administer, and analyse surveys and evaluation tools.
• Assist in translating research results into actionable program enhancements.
• Support coordination of CPD events, both online and in‑person, for physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
• Collaborate with program managers, senior leadership, external consultants, and healthcare organisations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and research skills with experience in data collection and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
