Research & Administrative Coordinator

About the role

The University of British Columbia seeks a Research & Administrative Coordinator to provide essential administrative and study support for the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) within the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Cellular Therapy. The role contributes to the management of approximately 100 active clinical research studies involving children with cancer and blood disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day administrative support for the CTU and its clinician investigators.
• Coordinate study documentation, data entry, and regulatory submissions for multiple clinical trials.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of participant information and ensure accurate recording of trial procedures.
• Assist Principal Investigators and the Research Director with study monitoring, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Facilitate communication among research partners, including industry sponsors, national cancer agencies, and international consortia.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical research administration or a related health‑science environment.
• Understanding of ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with investigators, research staff, and external partners.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
