Research & Administrative Coordinator – Clinical Trials Unit

About the role

The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at the Children’s and Women’s Health Centre and BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute seeks a Research & Administrative Coordinator to provide essential administrative and study support for pediatric hematology/oncology clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day administrative support for approximately 100 active clinical research studies.
• Maintain accurate trial documentation, ensuring compliance with university policies and professional standards.
• Uphold strict confidentiality of participant data and adhere to ethical research practices.
• Coordinate with Principal Investigators, the Research Director, and the CTU Manager to facilitate study operations.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, study tracking, and liaison with external partners such as industry sponsors and research networks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in clinical research administration or a related scientific support role.
• Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ethical standards for human research.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills for interaction with investigators, staff, and external collaborators.
