Remote Online Generalist for AI/ML Data Operations

About the role

Rex.zone is looking for full‑time Remote Online Generalists based in Canada to support AI/ML data pipelines that train large language models. You will work on a variety of annotation and evaluation tasks across natural language processing and computer‑vision datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data labeling for NLP tasks such as classification, summarization, and named‑entity recognition.
• Create preference data for RLHF by ranking model outputs and providing clear rationales.
• Conduct prompt evaluation and response scoring using web‑based interfaces.
• Execute QA evaluation, adjudication, and consistency checks to improve training data quality.
• Handle content‑safety labeling according to policy‑based guidelines.
• Complete computer‑vision annotation, including image tagging, bounding boxes, and segmentation.
• Document edge cases, follow versioned guidelines, and escalate ambiguous items.

Required profile

• Based in Canada and able to work full‑time remotely.
• Strong reading comprehension, attention to detail, and consistent decision‑making.
• Comfortable following detailed annotation guidelines and meeting quality standards.
• Prior experience in data labeling, QA evaluation, RLHF, or LLM evaluation is a plus but not mandatory.
