Remote Mechanical Engineer – Contract (up to $70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to create high‑quality, single‑choice assessment questions for AI training applications. This remote contract position allows you to translate advanced mechanical engineering concepts into clear, accessible content while working flexibly between 10 and 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate multiple‑choice questions rooted in mechanical engineering principles.
• Convert complex topics in Solid & Structural Mechanics, Dynamics & Vibration & Control, and Thermal‑Fluids into understandable assessment items.
• Document rationales and explanations for each answer choice to support AI training datasets.
• Collaborate with project coordinators remotely and meet defined content‑delivery milestones.
• Perform quality checks and revise materials based on feedback.

Required profile

• PhD or MS in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Solid & Structural Mechanics, Dynamics & Vibration & Control, or Thermal‑Fluids.
• Demonstrated ability to convey complex engineering concepts in clear written form.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in educational content creation, assessment design, or technical writing is highly desirable.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to technical accuracy.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
