Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - Seniors Living

About the role

S&R Seniors Living is hiring a full-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for its Seniors Living villages in Sarnia. The role sits inside a resident's home, working with a multidisciplinary team to support the physical and emotional well-being of residents and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a multidisciplinary team (dietary personnel, nurse practitioners, doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists) to assess new residents
• Lead the PSW team in providing care to residents
• Take glucose readings during meal time and direct PSWs to help queue and support residents
• Distribute medication, take vitals and accurately chart care, treatments and changes in condition
• Talk with residents and their families about care plans and update them every six months or when conditions change
• Support the Home and Community Care association and act as a team member as needed

Required profile

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
