Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Clinic Nurse in Ottawa

About the role

Carefor, Eastern Ontario’s largest not‑for‑profit home care organization, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to work in a clinic setting in Ottawa. You will provide client‑focused nursing care, support self‑care, and promote independence for seniors and people with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to gather relevant health information.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and their environments.
• Document assessment findings and update care plans in collaboration with the health‑care team.
• Implement nursing interventions from established care plans and evaluate client responses.
• Provide health education using adult‑learning principles and teaching materials.
• Incorporate current research findings into daily clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation in line with Carefor standards.
• Adhere to the Standards of Nursing Practice set by the Ontario College of Nurses.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time‑management and planning abilities.
• Commitment to client‑directed care and respect for client choices.
