Registered Practical Nurse – Overnight 12‑Hour Shifts (Midland/LaFontaine)

About the role

Compass Homecare is recruiting Registered Practical Nurses for overnight home‑care assignments in the Midland and LaFontaine region of Ontario. The role is casual/part‑time with 12‑hour overnight shifts, providing nursing care to clients in their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to each client’s care plan and CNO scope of practice.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, injections and health assessments.
• Monitor client health status, report changes, and document care using electronic charting.
• Assist with personal care, activities of daily living, and provide emotional support and respite to family caregivers.

Required profile

• Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, mobile phone and internet access.
• Negative TB test or recent chest X‑ray, current BLS certification and Vulnerable Sector Check (within 12 months).
• Proof of required immunizations (COVID‑19, MMR, Tdap, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B).

Required skills

• Medication administration and clinical procedure competency (wound care, injections).
• Electronic charting and accurate documentation.
