Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-Time

About the role

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Erie Shores Residence on a part‑time basis. You will provide end‑of‑life care within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on comfort, dignity and quality of life for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments using the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association’s eight domains of care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans aligned with patients’ goals.
• Identify and manage palliative‑care emergencies such as pain crises, delirium, and catastrophic bleeding.
• Collaborate with physicians, RPNs, PSWs, social workers and volunteers to coordinate care.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in accordance with hospice standards.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario.
• Experience in hospice, palliative or end‑of‑life care preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and sensitivity to diverse cultural, spiritual and personal values.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pain and symptom management medications.
• Proficiency in managing palliative‑care emergencies.
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments using the CHPCA eight domains.
• Development and implementation of individualized care plans.
