Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Day Shift)

About the role

Join the dynamic Operating Room team at Leduc Community Hospital. This full‑time day‑shift position offers the chance to work across a variety of surgical specialties in a fast‑paced, community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care throughout the patient journey, from pre‑op to recovery.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties, ensuring equipment, supplies, and patient safety.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain efficient OR flow and turnover.
• Deliver post‑operative care in the Recovery area following NAPANc standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid Alberta practice permit (provisional or full).
• Strong clinical judgment, critical‑thinking, and patient‑centered approach.
• Ability to anticipate procedural needs and act as a resource for colleagues.

Required skills

• Scrub and circulating duties in an operating room setting.
• Perioperative nursing expertise across multiple surgical specialties.
• Knowledge of NAPANc standards and ORNAC guidelines.
