About the role

Join a dynamic healthcare team at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital as a Registered Nurse. You will provide high‑quality care to diverse patient populations in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Assess health needs, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, following physician orders.
• Utilize electronic patient records (Cerner) and Outlook for communication.
• Adapt to changing clinical situations and maintain excellent attendance.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BSc in Nursing or equivalent education/experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work independently with strong critical‑thinking skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Cerner, Electronic Patient Record).
• IV medication administration.
• Medication administration with physician orders.
• ECG rhythm interpretation (5‑ and 12‑lead).
• Critical Care Certification (preferred) and ACLS certification (willingness to obtain).
