Registered Nurse – Intraocular Procedures

About the role

LASIK MD is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its intra‑ocular surgery team in Dieppe, New Brunswick. You will work alongside ophthalmology experts to ensure patients receive safe, high‑quality care before, during, and after laser eye procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for LASIK and other intra‑ocular surgeries.
• Provide excellent patient care in the recovery area.
• Maintain the crash cart and emergency supplies.
• Assist the surgeon and surgical team with patient flow.
• Update medical records using the clinic’s EMR system.
• Support risk‑management by promptly reporting safety concerns or incidents.

Required profile

• Completed an accredited nursing education program.
• Registered with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced intermediate proficiency in French (required for patient interactions).
• Experience in ophthalmology, optometry, intensive care, or an operating‑room setting is an asset.
• Detail‑oriented, meticulous, and able to thrive in a dynamic team environment.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
