Registered Nurse – Health Links Info Santé (Night/Weekend)

About the role

The Health Links Info Santé team at Misericordia Health Centre is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse to provide 24/7 telephone triage and support for callers across Manitoba. You will use clinical expertise and approved protocols to assess needs, give health information, and guide callers to appropriate care levels.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls around the clock, performing assessments and offering health‑related information.
• Document caller demographics and encounter details in the electronic health record.
• Process new home‑care program referrals from physicians, walk‑in clinics, hospitals and out‑of‑province sources.
• Assist home‑care nurses with after‑hours problem‑solving on operational and clinical issues.
• Follow written protocols and the nursing process to ensure safe, consistent care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• 3–5 years of recent clinical experience in a community or home‑care setting.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• CPR certification in accordance with employer policy.
• Fluency in English; French and additional languages are an asset.

Required skills

• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong computer literacy for documentation and protocol navigation.
• Advanced triage and assessment abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with callers.
