Registered Nurse – Float Team (Alliston)

About the role

The Registered Nurse – Float Team provides flexible, high‑quality nursing care across multiple units at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston. You will rotate through areas such as Emergency, Medicine, and Obstetrics, supporting the interdisciplinary team and ensuring patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care to acute medical patients on various hospital units.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain and monitor arterial and central lines, and initiate IV and parenteral therapies.
• Respond to emergent situations, including aggressive behaviour management.
• Document care accurately and adhere to hospital policies, CNO standards, and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO).
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS and PALS certification or commitment to obtain within three months.
• TNCC certification or commitment to obtain within six months.
• CC1 and CC2 certifications or commitment to obtain within twelve months.
• Recent experience (within two years) in emergency, mental health, or surgical settings preferred.
