Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (0.8 FTE)

About the role

The Winnipeg Health Region is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Endoscopy unit at Seven Oaks General Hospital. This part‑time (0.80 FTE) position provides an opportunity to deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent nursing services, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Lead and coordinate the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to unit policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of current Post‑Anesthesia, Endoscopy, and Peri‑operative nursing experience.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• Successful completion of WRHA Adult Moderate (Conscious) Sedation training.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and CPR certification.
• Satisfactory employment record.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system, word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Knowledge of Manitoba RN standards of practice, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, and relevant provincial legislation (PHIA, WHMIS, etc.).
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) competency.
