Registered Nurse – Acute Care & Emergency (Cardston, AB)

About the role

Join a vibrant community in southwest Alberta as a Registered Nurse delivering acute and emergency care at Cardston Health Centre. You will provide comprehensive nursing services to patients, families, and the broader community while ensuring safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using critical thinking and nursing processes.
• Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families across diverse health needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, holistic care.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and documentation.
• Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS‑HCP) certification.
• Current certifications for IV therapy, defibrillation, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM).
• Minimum one year of Emergency Room experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, highly acute multi‑disciplinary environment.
