Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) – Daycare

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team at Koala T Care Daycare in Ilderton. The successful candidate will support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of infants, toddlers and school‑age children in a licensed child‑care centre.

Key responsibilities

• Assess each child’s development and create individualized learning plans.
• Plan, lead and document age‑appropriate activities such as storytelling, songs, crafts and field trips.
• Provide daily care including bathing, diapering, feeding and supervising meals and rest periods.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well‑organized environment, including equipment upkeep and room set‑up.
• Observe children for signs of learning or behavioural concerns and prepare written reports for parents and supervisors.
• Collaborate with co‑workers, supervisors and community service providers to support each child’s needs.
• Assist early childhood educators and assistants in program delivery and record‑keeping.
• Supervise and coordinate activities for school‑age children before and after regular school hours.

Required profile

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a noisy, active environment.
• Commitment to health, safety and security standards, including immunization records and vulnerable sector checks.
