Refrigeration Mechanic – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team in Woodbridge, Ontario. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of refrigeration, air‑conditioning and ventilation systems for commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install refrigeration systems and rooftop self‑contained units.
• Interpret blueprints and technical instructions to plan installation sequences.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air‑conditioning equipment.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as recharging refrigerant, testing regulators and calibrating systems.
• Repair or replace parts and components across refrigeration, air‑conditioning, ventilation and heat‑pump systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience as a refrigeration or HVAC mechanic.
• Valid driver’s licence; vehicle provided by employer.
• Physically able to perform demanding work and pay close attention to detail.
• Possess Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification and WHMIS certification.
• Availability for early‑morning shifts, overtime and on‑call work.

Required skills

• Installation of refrigeration and rooftop HVAC systems.
• Interpretation of blueprints and technical schematics.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic of HVAC equipment.
• Refrigerant handling and system recharging.
• Use of hand and power tools; safety equipment such as steel‑toed boots and gloves.
