Recruiter – Hybrid Contract (Toronto)

About the role

This contract position supports day‑to‑day retail hiring for a six‑person recruiting team within a top‑tier financial institution. The role is hybrid, requiring 1–2 days per week in the Toronto office, and focuses on full‑cycle recruitment, pipeline initiatives, and collaborative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full‑cycle recruitment: intake meetings, opening requisitions, scheduling interviews, and managing hiring events.
• Interview candidates, coordinate final rounds with hiring managers, process background checks, and extend offers.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines and contribute to recruitment projects.
• Participate in weekly one‑on‑one meetings with the manager and regular team meetings, spending roughly half the day in meetings or interviews.
• Collaborate closely with internal hiring managers across the organization.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of overall recruiting experience, preferably high‑volume.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Post‑secondary education required; certifications not required.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work model and occasional overtime or in‑person hiring events.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
