Recovery Home Support Worker

About the role

We are dedicated to creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment that respects Indigenous knowledge and traditions. We are seeking a Recovery Home Support Worker to join our team, enhancing client safety, assisting with daily living activities, and encouraging full participation in community programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide crisis support and report incidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist clients with household tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, banking and attending medical appointments.
• Support clients in social situations, helping them build confidence and positive relationships.
• Deliver coaching and life‑skills teaching within the residential setting.
• Safeguard medication in accordance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
• Transport clients to appointments and participate in recreational and vocational activities.

Required profile

• Formal education or training in social services, health care, mental health, addictions or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience working within Indigenous communities on mental health or addictions.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification and current First Aid certification.
• Mental Health First Aid, Naloxone and Trauma‑Informed training.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with reliable, insured transportation.
