Records Management Clerk – Word/Data Processing

About the role
The Edmonton Police Service is seeking four motivated Records Management Clerks to join its Digital Information Management Unit. In this role you will support the conversion, indexing, and maintenance of police records, ensuring accurate and secure electronic storage.
Key responsibilities
- Review, sort, and prepare documents for imaging.
- Enter data to track imaged documents and maintain file integrity.
- Convert paper records to electronic images using Kodak imaging software, performing batch capture, quality control, and verification.
- Upload images and link them to the appropriate occurrences in the Records Management System (RMS) using custom software.
- Maintain workflow to meet service requirements and perform related duties as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma with business subjects or a relevant certificate.
- Minimum two years of diversified word, information processing, or data entry experience.
- Ability to lift boxes up to 20 kg and handle high‑volume work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, independent judgment, and effective interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Experience using Kodak imaging software.
- Scanning/imaging and micrographics knowledge.
- Familiarity with police applications such as CAD, CPIC, JOIN, and Niche (preferred).
What we offer
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.17 to $31.25.
- Full‑time schedule (40 hours/week, Monday‑Friday).
- Benefits in accordance with the City of Edmonton collective agreement.
