Quality Specialist

About the role

Socomec Group is seeking a Quality Specialist to join its North American operations. The role ensures that all products delivered to customers meet manufacturing specifications and company standards, supporting continuous improvement and a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving activities, reviewing documents, drawings, and instructions for conformance.
• Identify, control, and close non‑conformances in a timely manner.
• Perform quality system audits and promote quality improvement initiatives.
• Support the Supply Chain team by highlighting supplier quality issues.
• Review customer and supplier documentation (certifications, quality requirements) for compliance.
• Collaborate with design engineers to capture product requirements and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in reducing manufacturing errors and participate in continuous‑improvement projects.
• Lead 5S and other lean manufacturing initiatives on the production floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with power conversion products.
• Experience in engineer‑to‑order, configure‑to‑order, or custom product manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE certification desired; ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 internal auditor training preferred.
• Familiarity with quality core tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP.
• Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other problem‑solving techniques.
