Quality Engineer

About the role

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Calgary team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will lead supplier approval activities, support first‑article inspections, and drive continuous improvement across the supplier base.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive supplier approval process.
• Create and execute multi‑year supplier oversight plans, including regular on‑site audits.
• Maintain an accurate Approved Vendor List and monitor supplier performance using risk‑based indicators.
• Load new part information into Net‑Inspect and manage the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) workflow.
• Administer the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process and report metrics to senior quality leadership.
• Organise supplier audits, update the Supplier Audit Plan, and manage audit budgets.
• Implement the Supplier Quality Manual and related documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in supplier quality management within an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with FAIR, SCAR, RCCA and supplier audit procedures.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
