Quality Control Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Technician supports the Sr. QA & Regulatory Coordinator in maintaining food safety and quality standards across production sites. This onsite position works closely with floor employees to ensure compliance with internal programs, GFSI certifications, and government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and verify food safety and quality management procedures, documents, and validations.
• Conduct routine GMP, pre‑operational, glass/plastic, environmental, and sanitation inspections.
• Verify critical control points (CCP), critical limits, and monitoring records.
• Perform sensory evaluations of incoming ingredients and finished products, and assist operators with qualitative and quantitative testing.
• Check packaging artwork against approved specifications.
• Support root‑cause analysis for external complaints and internal non‑conformances.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contamination and keep accurate records.
• Serve as backup for the QA Coordinator on food safety and quality issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational degree or certification is a plus.
• At least 1 year of quality assurance or production experience in the food industry (preferred).
• Third‑party HACCP training preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to conduct sensory and visual inspections.
